The largest public school district in Minnesota (with approximately 39000 students) has been using IBM TRIRIGA Workplace Operations Manager and IBM TRIRIGA Facilities Manager for various functions like facility work orders, maintenance management, space management, and inventory management since January 2013. But they were not able to optimize the use of their IBM TRIRIGA installations since it was felt that the staff lacked a comprehensive knowledge of IBM TRIRIGA thus limiting their ability to support the tool. That apart, the District was also interested in conducting performance tuning of their existing IBM TRIRIGA environment which also called for a deeper understanding of IBM TRIRIGA. The client also wanted to initiate an IBM TRIRIGA Roadmap project that would examine and identify potential opportunities that promised the greatest ROI and wanted to prioritize and sequence the individual projects that result from the analysis.
Training: ValuD proposed a one week customized remote training on IBM TRIRIGA Application 10.2 for the District staff. As per this plan, IBM TRIRIGA-certified ValuD personnel first identified the District’s core goals and desired competencies and then built a customized training schedule around those goals and competencies.
Roadmapping: The client partnered with ValuD to focus on the validation of their existing draft plan while assisting with the delivery of a well-grounded and compelling business case for their expanded investment in IBM TRIRIGA. This included a gap-fit analysis of their data (including CAD integration), auditing the property portfolio and developing management strategies. ValuD will train additional staff on IBM TRIRIGA’s native reporting tools while developing report requirements. The roadmap will also include the implementation of two additional IBM TRIRIGA modules: IBM TRIRIGA Capital Projects and IBM TRIRIGA TREES.
System Refinement and Development: ValuD worked with the client to refine the current IBM TRIRIGA application and ensured that the system was providing the greatest amount of value possible to the organization. Throughout the project, the ValuD team of experts worked side by side with the client to not only accurately analyze the current system and its functionality but also worked to make refinements to ensure it was the system the client wanted to use.
The customized training ValuD provided allowed the client to maximize their return on their IBM TRIRIGA investment by increasing user adoption and use. In addition, the client was so satisfied with the training provided by ValuD that they decided to engage ValuD again to develop a roadmap for future development and to work on refining their current IBM TRIRIGA installation and developing it out so it adequately met their needs.
