The ValuD Difference: Functionality enhancement led to optimal utilization of IBM TRIRIGA Real Estate & Lease Manager


A global clothing and merchandise chain based out of California faced performance issues with their IBM TRIRIGA Lease Manager module. The client had been using a heavily customized version of the Lease Manager and wanted to leverage out-of-the-box functionalities wherever possible. Over time the company recognized that their customizations had led to sub-par utilization of the solution. Sales interfaces were not optimal and manual data entry drove additional expenses, reporting delays, and audit concerns.

The client identified 28 enhancements that needed to be made and were looking for an experienced IBM TRIRIGA partner to assist them with their efforts. Having worked with ValuD on an earlier project, the client was confident that ValuD would deliver.


ValuD proposed a two-phased approach to address the needs of the client. In the first phase, the ValuD team worked on enhancing the IBM TRIRIGA system and created more than 20 enhancements to the Real Estate Lease application in accordance with the priority levels provided by the client. The second phase involved helping the client optimize the integrated store sales data process to reduce processing time. ValuD provided a ‘tool’ for uploading the data (which was stored in Microsoft Excel files) in bulk. ValuD also created 4 different interphases- 2 for each type of audit conducted by the client which improved their previous nineteen-hour processing cycle and eliminated prolonged downtime. In addition, ValuD also conducted client’s team training on the new functionalities to drive user adoption of the enhanced system.


The ValuD team delivered the project on time and on budget, within a compressed two month timeline.  The enhancements enabled the client to use the IBM TRIRIGA system efficiently while complementing their work processes.  The sales interface customization reduced the downtime and bulk data upload process significantly, without affecting the data quality. Moreover, the innovative solution provided by ValuD meant that the client could continue working on other activities versus having to wait on processing and updates to conclude. Lastly, ValuD’s training ensured that the client’s team was well-versed on the enhanced functionalities of the IBM TRIRIGA Lease Manager. In the end, the enhanced functionalities coupled with ValuD’s extensive training meant that the client was able to achieve their key objectives to improve ease of use and to reduce cost of ownership for IBM TRIRIGA.
