As one of the most reputed public research universities in California, the client was looking to implement a facilities management solution for their space optimization needs. They had already purchased the licenses for the IBM TRIRIGA Facilities Manager since they found the out-of-the-box functionalities of the solution to be capable of fulfilling their requirements. They were looking for a vendor who would help them not only with the implementation of the IBM TRIRIGA Facilities Manager solution but also provide hosting support for the same. The client also wanted the vendor to train a select team of their personnel on the usage of the system so they could be more self-sufficient with the solution.
ValuD proposed to do both the implementation and re-hosting on ValuD servers within a short timeframe of 3 weeks. For this, ValuD stood-up an environment capable of handling a starter base of facilities management users including users of the IBM TRIRIGA Facilities Manager and CAD integrator for the client, the sizing for which was based on the number of concurrent users for the IBM TRIRIGA solution. In order to properly host the environment for the client, ValuD conducted an out-of-the-box (OOTB) installation of IBM TRIRIGA in their environment using the client’s licenses for IBM TRIRIGA and Oracle. ValuD applied its “Space Lite” Solution Accelerators to the installation in order to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation. This proprietary tool developed by ValuD for IBM TRIRIGA’s OOTB Facilities Manager solution provides an easy and effective way for assigning, tracking, auditing and reporting space details, requesting services, managing documents and portfolio data. Once the hosted environment was set up for the client, ValuD conducted a hands-on training for the client’s team and made sure that they were comfortable operating the IBM TRIRIGA system.
Using the OOTB functionalities of the IBM TRIRIGA Facilities Manager solution, the client was able to meet the overlapping and diverse needs of both their management and the end-user personnel. In addition to this, ValuD’s use of their proprietary “Space Lite” Solution Accelerator ensured a speedy and efficient implementation of the IBM TRIRIGA solution. ValuD also utilized their proven SaaS delivery model to ensure that the client’s system was up and running on time on ValuD’s servers with very little impact on the client’s business. With the help of the IBM TRIRIGA Facilities Manager solution and ValuD’s hands-on training, the client were able to achieve their twin goals of space optimization and self-sufficiency in the system.
